Planned travel from one's place of residence to another country for the purpose of receiving healthcare for any reason is called "Health Tourism," and the person traveling is called a "health tourist."
When tourists traveling from their place of residence to another country for travel purposes are forced to receive healthcare while traveling, this is called "Tourist Health."
The purpose of the Health Tourism unit is to provide the necessary personnel, infrastructure, technical support, promotion, translation, and/or interpreting services to provide healthcare to international patients.
Foreign patient data is recorded in the Ministry of Health's Foreign Patient Tracking System by the health tourism unit staff in our hospital.
Identified deficiencies and errors are reported to the relevant institution.
Reporting and statistical studies are conducted.
If international patients who do not speak Turkish or tourists who need emergency health services call the 112 emergency call centers or the 184 Sabim line to obtain information about health services or for complaints related to patient rights, the call centers will forward these calls to the International Patient Support Line via teleconference.
Interpreter and consultancy services on health issues are provided 24/7 in English, German, Arabic, Russian, Persian, and French to people who come to our country from abroad and do not speak Turkish via the international support line 444 47 28.
